Breaking News: Love Island All Stars' highly anticipated launch has been dramatically postponed! Wildfires near the South African villa have forced ITV bosses to put the brakes on the show, leaving fans eagerly awaiting its premiere in limbo.
Originally slated to kick off on Monday, the launch has been cancelled due to the hazardous conditions caused by the raging wildfires. ITV swiftly confirmed the delay, prioritizing the health and safety of everyone involved.
In a statement, ITV emphasized their commitment to safety, stating, "Further to a production evacuation owing to ongoing wildfires in the area, our assessment of the location site has concluded that filming will need to be postponed. Health and safety is our greatest priority and will always come first, and therefore the transmission of Love Island: All Stars will be delayed until a date to be confirmed."
Contestants, including the glamorous Maya Jama, were set to begin production today, but ITV had to pull the plug. The show's future is now uncertain as the team assesses the situation.
Sources revealed that crisis meetings were held to determine the show's fate after the fires erupted near the filming location. Contestants were reportedly kept in hiding, unable to travel to the villa as planned.
An insider shared, "This is a massive nightmare for ITV but they’re doing everything they can to keep Love Island All Stars on track. A fire broke out close to the villa and it was deemed too dangerous..." They added that ITV would always prioritize the welfare of the cast and crew, but this unexpected event poses a significant challenge, potentially impacting the show's launch date.
But here's where it gets controversial... There's no word on when filming will resume.
The All-Star Lineup: The cast includes familiar faces like former winners Millie Court and Jess Harding, alongside fan favorites Belle Hassan and Whitney Adebayo. The original six girls also feature Helena Ford and Leanne Amaning. For the lads, Tommy Bradley returns after just six months, joined by Sean Stone, Charlie Frederick, Ciaran Davies, Shaq Muhammad, and Jack Keating.
