Iron Maiden is about to rock the UK with a unique festival experience! 🦅🤘
The legendary heavy metal band has announced a special treat for their British fans, transforming their 2026 concert at Knebworth House into a two-day extravaganza.
But here's where it gets exciting: The festival, dubbed 'Eddfest', will not only feature Iron Maiden's iconic performance but also a day dedicated to celebrating the band's rich history and its impact on the music world.
On the warm-up day, fans will enter 'Maiden World', a metalhead's paradise with live bands connected to Maiden, a funfair, a museum marking their 50th anniversary, and more. This is a rare opportunity for fans to immerse themselves in the band's legacy before the main event.
Manager Rod Smallwood explains, "We want to give Maiden fans a weekend to remember... a Maiden World for them." And this is the part most people miss: Eddfest will showcase the band's former members in various acts, providing a unique twist to the festival experience.
The Saturday lineup includes Stray, whose song 'All In Your Mind' was covered by Maiden, as well as Maiden United, an acoustic cover band. Airforce, featuring ex-Maiden drummer Doug Sampson, and Tony Moore's Awake, with Tony Moore, who briefly played keyboards for Maiden in the late 70s, will also grace the stage. One more act is yet to be announced, adding to the anticipation.
This festival is a testament to Iron Maiden's enduring legacy and their commitment to delivering unforgettable experiences to their fans. After the UK, the band will continue their 'Run For Your Lives' tour across North, Central, and South America.
Controversy alert: With such a unique festival concept, some might wonder if this is a one-off event or the start of a new trend in the music industry. Could we see more bands creating their own festivals, celebrating their history and community of fans? Share your thoughts below!
