AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D Benchmarked: Hits 5.6 GHz on Geekbench! (2026)

AMD's Ryzen 7 9850X3D, an 8-core CPU with 3D V-Cache, has been spotted on Geekbench with a maximum clock speed of 5.6 GHz. The processor is being tested on COLORFUL and MaxSun motherboards, with 32 GB of DDR5 memory running at 4800 MT/s. These benchmarks come after earlier leaks, and while the model appears locked in, AMD has yet to make an official statement. The Ryzen 7 9850X3D has 96 MB of L3 cache and a 4.7 GHz base clock, scoring 3439 points in single-core and 17,530 points in multi-core on the COLORFUL board. The MaxSun system, however, scores slightly lower at 3260 and 16,149 points, respectively. These results are slightly behind the current 9800X3D model, which scores 3334 points in single-core and 18,335 points in multi-core. The performance gap may be due to early firmware, conservative power limits, and slow memory, rather than a clear picture of final performance. The 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 with dual 3D V-Cache is still a rumored model and has not been publicly traced yet.
